In the days before the Ford Transit and LDV Sherpa minibuses were the Cinderellas of the bus industry. Ford made some attempt with the A-series, which naturally saw greater use as a truck, though many local authorities found them useful for welfare services. Alexander produced a good bus body, as seen on Provincial 48 (NEL107P) which passed for further service with Alder Valley. |
Provincial's first Leyland National, 13 (HOR413L) entered preservation and is seen here at the 2001 Southsea Rally. In common with the Bristol RELL models that went before it, the bus was a 44 seat dual door vehicle. |
