Seen at Showbus 79 is former Red & White L4.42 (EWO467) a 1942 Guy Arab II with BBW 55 seat lowbridge bodywork, which passed to Provincial as their 33.

The Guy had also been present at Showbus 75.

An even older bus is 55 (EHO228) which has a wartime Guy Arab I chassis and a 1955 Reading H56R body. Portsmouth based Reading bodied very few buses, but Channel Island operators and Provincial were loyal customers. They rebodied several Arabs for G&F, many fitted with Deutz air cooled engines. The bus is seen here preserved, but in service on Southsea sea front at the annual rally in 2001.

New in 1946 with a Roe body for Yorkshire Woollen District as their 518 (HD7651) Provincial heavily rebuilt this Guy Arab II, fitted it with a Deutz engine and a full front new body built by Reading in 1963 as 1 (883HHO). Seen at the end of its life at the Hoeford depot the bus had been renumbered 77.
