Founded by Roger Richardson in Sheffield in 1976, Richardsons established itself in Sussex in the late eighties. The company sadly went into administration in February 2019. Their distinctive blue livery stood out from the ubiquitous dealer white with decals, and the smartly presented fleet was a patriotic fan of Alexander - Dennis - Plaxton products, mostly acquired new, including an Enviro400, SN62APY, which passed to Redline in Preston.

This comparatively rare Plaxton Panther bodied Dennis R, YR02ZKY, is believed to be at the London Bus Museum Cobham event in 2002.
 
Richardsons Volvo B7TL East Lancs PN52XBP
The following year a new East Lancs bodied Volvo B7TL, 801 (PN52XBP), was shown at Cobham.
 
Richardsons Volvo B7R Transbus 531
By 2004 Richardsons had migrated to SHOWBUS, their Transbus bodied Volvo B7R 531 (YN53VCD) is seen leaving Duxford airfield after the event.
 
Richardsons Volvo B12M Plaxton Panther 533
At work in the capital in Septmeber 2012 was Plaxton Panther bodied Volvo B12M, 533 (YN07NUF).
