Seen with closed top younger Queen Mary, 307 (FCD307D), 409 (409DCD) is at the Southsea Spectacular. Whilst 307 has gained NBC Southdown fleetnames, it appears to have had a life in Leicester after temporarily leaving the south coast. |
Seen at SHOWBUS international 2001 is former Southdown 278 BUF278C), another preserved Queen Mary, but kept in a livery reflecting its use by Maidstone Boroline. |
Queen Mary 278 is seen here alongside an oddly coloured Routemaster at the North Weald Rally. |

Southdown's apple green and cream colours added to the summer time feel at Showbus 2008. Nearest the camera, and bearing their fleetname, is Stephenson's of Essex 424DCD and alongside George Jennings' preserved 272 (BUF272C). The Stephenson's full front Northern Counties body, unlike 272's, is convertible to opentop. |
