Western National Restormel Council Bristol VR
Restormel Council acquired ex Western National VR 38920 for use in Newquay as a mobile centre to disseminate information to young people in the town who could be at risk from excesses of drugs and alcohol. The bus is parked up at WN's Newquay depot in June 2006. It is in its second blue based livery with the Council, but arrived in the pre First corporate version of WN livery. It was new in NBC green to Eastern National as 3115 (XHK220X) and passed to Thamesway when the fleet was partitioned and in the yellow and purple scheme. It went to WN in 1992 as 1250 and was painted cream and blue, later acquired the red, white and blue flags livery.

Former Western National 1058 (OTA292G) was operated by Gray Line West on city tours in Vancouver. Numbered 416, the bus is one of several VRs and Fleetlines used in the Canadian city and passed on when Gray Line's tour closed to Big Bus of Vancouver. It is seen passing through the Gas Town area in August 2004.

From the same fleet, but seen at the Vancouver Cruise Ship Terminal is former 1057 (OCD771G), new in Brighton, Hove and District livery as Southdown 2101 The bus passed to WN in 1986 and ended up in British Columbia in 1992. In late 2008 it passed to Royal Blue, nothing to do with the English west country coach company of days gone by, but a sightseeing operation based in Victoria on Vancouver Island, where it rubs cheeks with the latest Enviro500s.
This former First Western National, and originally Bristol, Leyland Olympian/Roe is with San Francisco Sightseeing Deluxe still in First "Barbie" colours. It was not alone in the city in August 2008 as a First Transit Ford minibus was spotted in an American version of First livery. What is unexplained is what it is doing with Cardiff East Lancs bodied Olympian UK registration RBO506Y.
