There were not many doubledeckers left in the Western National fleet. Eight Olympians with ECW bodies were bought new in 1983, so former 1803 (A753VAF) was 22 years old when seen in "Barbie 2" colours in Plymouth Bus Station as 34753.

This ECW Olympian was one of several types transferred south from within the First empire. Leyland 34486 (FUM486Y) was new as West Yorkshire 1811.

Western National Leyland Olympian ECW 1800
Languishing at the West of England Transport Collection site at Winkleigh in August 2013 was former ECW bodied Olympian 34750 (A750VAF) which was converted to open top and renumbered from 1800 in 2007, but was withdrawn only two years later.

Western National Volvo Olympian Alexander Royale 34192
Vehicles do not often move between the major groups, but first acquired these Alexander Royale bodied Volvo Olympians from National Express, which had inherited them from London United's Heathrow Airbus service. Originally M112UHP, the bus, now 34192, acquired the registration of former Bristol Omnibus Lodekka 7087 (530OHU). Alongside is Mercedes/Beaver 50846 (K346ORL).

Volvo 34199 (NER621) is another of the displaced Airbus Olympians, it is about to depart for Exeter from Plymouth on the X80, the route for which the coach seated vehicles were acquired.

At Plymouth's Bus Station in May 2006 again is ex Airbus Alexander Royale bodied Olympian, 34192 (530OHU). Alongside is former North Devon Plaxton bodied Dart 853, now WN 42153 (P853DTT).

Western National Dennis Trident Plaxton President 32851
A major rail replacement operation in August 2015 saw several visitors to Bath at work. This Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 32851 (HIG1519), converted to single door, was new as First London TN32851 (T851LLC) was on layover in the Bus Station. On the same operation was another Dennis, the turquoise Berkhof bodied Javelin, T808TGP, with BYB Travel of Westbury, but new to Epsom Coaches as their 808.

Western National Bristol ECW L 1613, VRTSL3 1203 & VRTSL6G 1056
At the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust's west country store in July 2022 was a relatively new addition, Bristol VRTSL3 1203 (LFJ847W) seen between a pair of Tilling green Bristols, VRTSL6G 1056 (OTA290G) and LWL5G 1613 (LTA772).
