In 2005 it was the year for Concorde and Bristols at SHOWBUS international. Crosville's DFG238 (HFM238D) made the journey from Aberdeen and is seen here in the company of regular entrant, Brighton, Hove & District's KSW 6447 (HAP985). The two prototype LSX buses of Bristol Omnibus and Eastern Counties are just visible under Concorde's nose cone. |
So strikingly magnificent was this former Crosville open top Bristol LD6B Lodekka, DLB978 (627HFM), that I had to grab a photo of it myself as it came in through Parking Reception at Showbus 1999. Fortunately it did not arive with the 4-a-minute rush earlier in the proceedings.

Early bus style Bristol RESL6G ERG594 (HFM594D) displays an unusual Crosville livery. The ECW bodied dual purpose bus has green relief despite its dedication to the Cymru Coastliner service, which used to see the cream and black livery on its allocation. The vehicle, ERG594 (HFM594D), is seen at the Birmingham Outer Circle Run in September 1999.

A much older vehicle to wear the reversed livery was this 1950 Weymann bodied Leyland Tiger PS1/1, KA244 (LFM320), seen at the Brislington (Bristol) rally in August 2015.
