Whilst Plaxton bodies predominated, WA took small batches of Jonckheere models including the Grand Tourer coaches. In May 2004 Y713HWT is seen by the famous Sagrada Familla cathedral in Barcelona. |
Identical Y723HWT in contrast is preparing to travel abroad, awaiting its turn to board the ferry with the white cliffs of Dover behind. |
Plaxton Paragons became the final standard WA coach and this example is seen at services in North East Wales: Volvo B10M Y734HWT. |
In 2005 Wallace Arnold was acquired by its main competitor, Shearings. Seen shortly after, Volvo B10M/Jonckheere 7820WA has acquired Shearings branding above the window and a Shearings fleet number: 353. It is seen in Marlow on a tour feeder service. It si not known what became of its cherished WA registration. |
