You might wonder what this Ayres Red Guy Arab II is doing here. It is in the livery once used for Perth city services and is seen at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum at Lathalmond in August 2014. The chassis was new to Plymouth in 1943 and fitted with a- ironically - a Roe lowbridge body as 249 (CDR679). When acquired for preservation little more than the chassis remained, but the restored wartime highbridge Duple body was originally on a Northampton Daimler CWD6. It is presented here as Alexander RO671, but since full restoration has sported wartime grey livery and AA Motors green and cream, since CDR673 had operated for them once upon a time.
