PMT's Olympians carried the rather unfortunate class designation DOG (Doubledeck, Olympian, Gardner engine); Ex Crosville 779 (A137SMA) is seen alongside 9 metre dual purpose seated Dennis Dart IDC902 (J902SEH) at Hanley Bus Station.
PMT has also enjoyed a number of Optare products. Here Metrorider 396 (R396ERE) is in a special silver livery promoting the 66 route, alongside SDA801 (H801GRE) one of a batch of nine DAF powered Optare Deltas delivered in 1990.
One of the Deltas put in an appearance in the First display at SHOWBUS international 2001. |
This 9 metre Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart, IDC939 (L939LRF), is in the livery of Turners of Brown Edge, one of the many Potteries' independents taken over by PMT in the early days of deregulation. It was one of the few to survive within the PMT fleet and retain its Turners identity. The bus was new under PMT ownership.
