Beckwiths Coaches MCW Metrobus LOA346X
Beckwiths Coaches operated ex TWM MCW Metrobus 2346 (LOA346X). The firm based at Princes Risborough in Bucks folded when the proprietor was taken ill.

Arriving at SHOWBUS two years later is former 2400 (LOA400X), a Mark I Metrobus still in service with new owner G H Watts of Leicester.

City Sightseeing Metrobus
A 2002 winner at SHOWBUS was this former LT Metrobus M144 (BYX144V), a new addition to the Stratford City Sightseeing fleet. It was the best open topper at the event, an achievement that City Sightseeing were pleased to publicise. Stratford Blue Tiger 739 was on the right and ex West Midlands Metrobus 214 (BOK68V) on the left.
On A Mission was a short lived contractor to Buckinghamshire County Council's Amey Transport. Amey took over school contracts on the Council's behalf on the promise of saving them a lot of money. On A Mission set the scene by taking on a large number of cut price contracts primarily between the grammar schools in Aylesbury and Milton Keynes. This was achieved with a motley collection of ageing deckers of which former West Midlands 2923 (D923NDA) was amongst the best. It is seen in 2009 leaving the main bus park at the Grange School in Aylesbury, a focal point for schools transport in the town.

By the following summer 2923 had gained a permanent destination blind, but like the rest of the fleet there was no fleet identity. Not long after the operation folded in the wake of bus fires and breakdowns, leaving Amey with burnt fingers and the need to relet the contracts at less attractive rates!
