At Millennium Showbus former Southdown 155 (C455OAP) had passed to Kimes of Folkingham in colours akin to its Southdown days.

No less than three ex Oxford Leyland Titans turned up at Showbus 98. They were on their way to Kimes, one of whose already acquired Titans is parked alongside the trio.

Alongside Olympians from Carousel of High Wycombe, the London Borough of Redbridge and Roundabout Buses is an Alexander (Belfast) bodied example recently acquired by Kimes of Folkingham from Dublin Bus. The Redbridge example is still in Southern Vectis colours. The driver went home with a mounted replica as the vehicle won the prize for the best Olympian at the event as that was the model used on the 2003 Showbus awards. |

Seen earlier at the 2001 SHOWBUS is 42 (YAZ4142) a Northern Counties bodied DAF SB220, the bus was new as Speedlink Airport Services 904 (P904PWW). It saw use at Heathrow by the National Express subsidiary on the bus service that preceded the completion of the Heathrow Direct train service. Alongside is Safeguard's Duple Dominant bodied Leyland Tiger C164SPB. |
