Eastern Scottish Seddon Pennine VII Alexander M 750
Expecting to make it south in September for SHOWBUS50 and the Victoria Coach Station 90th birthday celebrations the day before is former Eastern Scottish 750 (MSF750P) a very rare 12 metre Alexander M type bodied Seddon Pennine VII. The coach is seen on its last visit to SHOWBUS at Duxford in 2008. These coaches were used on the overnight services to London from Edinburgh and Glasqow, but most noticeably on Bristol REMH6G chassis. Originally they were in black and white for Glasgow services with Western SMT and yellow and black for Edinburgh. However 750 displays the blue and white Scottish branding that marketed both services. Such coaches were regular SHOWBUS visitors back in the seventies when an overnight coach resting in London before a return north on the Sunday evening would venture out to the Hillingdon Showground to join the SHOWBUS display. With its trip to Victoria on the Saturday 750 will be partially re-enacting those seventies SHOWBUS visits.
