Striking vehicles introduced on the overnight Glasgow - London service were the fleet of Alexander M bodied 12 metre long Bristol REMHs. Initially they were in Western's black and white livery, which gave way to the SCOTTISH blue.

These two photos were taken at SHOWBUS at Hillingdon in the late seventies. The coaches were on layover in London before returning north overnight.
