Probably the most photographed vehicle at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum's Open weekend last week was this fake Alexander Guy Arab II, posed deliberately for photographers in a pride of place position and, when the sun shone, it looked great. The bus chassis was originally new to Plymouth with a Roe body, during restoration it was married to a Duple body from a utility Daimler of Northampton. The bus has since worn a grey utility livery, AA Motors livery (AA owned sister Roe bodied CDR673) and now Alexander red.
The Museum put on an excellent show for visitors and some of the entrants, including WMPTE Ailsa 4738 will be making the trek south in a few weeks to SHOWBUS.
