After last week's Enviro500MMC of Coast Mountain Bus it was expected that this week's subject would be one of the new Enviro500MMC buses delivered to BC Transit to join their fleet of Tridents and Enviro500 first generation models. Back in 2019 we had glimpsed an ex GO Transit Enviro500 in Victoria, but it has been joined by several more, both first and second generation models, the latter newer than many of the BC Transit fleet. The ex GO Transit buses were much in evidence on Saturday last week on shuttle services to Butchart Gardens, a good half hour away. Long queues formed at the bus stop outside the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel as a regular supply of Enviros from PNW Transportation devoured them. The majority were still in GO Transit livery with PNW Transportation emblazoned in black between decks, most retained their Ontario fleet numbers, but some had acquired P prefixed two digit numbers. Some had been repainted for the Cruise Shuttle service which is an obvious revenue stream for the company and explains the investment in such a large fleet. This later Enviro500 is numbered C32 and has had a complete repaint in a livery promoting Butchart Gardens, in the background is the Fairmont Empress.
