The chief advantage a bus has over a tram is its go anywhere capability, however last Friday Transdev Melbourne's Volgren CR228L bodied Scania L94UB 395 (5295AO) was going nowhere and to make matters worse, had failed on the route 72 tram tracks, blocking Yarra Trams Class Z3 126 - one of Melbourne's oldest regular regular route cars - in its tracks, with another held up behind it. Older Scania L94UB with the bug eyed CR222L Volgren body, 360 (0360AO), had come to its rescue and a police car had stopped with lights flashing to direct traffic around the obstacle. No one had the presence of mind to push 395 off the tram tracks.
