Two pictures from the historic Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant today. A Parks of Hamilton Volvo B12M Jonckheere, LSK504, with Union Jacks on the dash was one of many coaches around the city delivering the crowds to the event. It was parked outside Victoria Coach Station. The second picture is on the approach to Waterloo Bridge, closed to all traffic and thronged with crowds of spectators jam packed from side to side, yet the Countdown display optimistically predicts arrival of the 172 in 6 min! This does rather call into doubt the accuracy of the real time information system. |
