Alexander Dennis has just announced the end of the arrangement whereby New Flyer Industries built the Enviro200 model, marketed as their Midi. A number were sold to transit authorities in Canada and the United States. The biggest order was placed by Philadelphia's SEPTA who used the MD30 Midi model to replace 2001 ElDorado Transmark RE29 buses on thier "Lucy" Green and Gold Loop services and fake "trolleys" on the Downtown "Phlash" route. A total of 35 were in service in 2017, including 4617 seen here on Wednesday at the Amtrak Station on the "Lucy" Green Loop. Future production of the model will be at Alexander Dennis' new facility currently turning out Enviro500 doubledeckers, indeed the next production will probably be of the Enviro200MMC model.
