Dhillon of Cranbourne West had ten Perth Mercedes, again rail replacement stalwarts. Six were still active at the end of 2024. Approaching Windsor Station in Febraury 2023 city bound is BS04LY, former 1181 (TP1181).

Not carrying a crack military team, SAS in the desto of BS03HD is supposedly an abbreviation of "Stops All Stations"! This bus is in Windsor heading for Sandringham that February and was 1182 (TP1182).

Just before Christmas in 2024 the Sandringham Line was closed for eleven days for major track work and Dhillon's remaining CR225L buses were out in force. This is BS01OF on the "SAS" headed to Sandringham, former 1755 (TP175S).

The bus was seen earlier on Chapel Street in Windsor.

Another Cranbourne operator at work on the Sandringham replacement was Wilsons who had indirectly acquired two pairs of Perth Mercs. This one has kept its Transperth fleet number as 1711 (BS06DQ), once TP1711. This started Wilsons off numbering their fleet in the 17xx series, regardless of origin. They acquired this with 1710 from Skenners of Kurenell in NSW. The bus is seen in Balaclava headed for the city. For some obscure reason the replacement buses terminate at Parliament in hhe city, some 1.5km (18 min walk) from Flinders Street Station where Sandringham trains all terminate! At a guess the practice dates back decades and no-one at PTV has noticed in all that time!
