 Around 6am on the 27th July 2009 the first glimpse of one of OC Transpo's trio of experimental Alexander Dennis Enviro500 doubledeckers. Bus 1202 is heading off from the depot to take up service. The Merry X-mas destination display may be a show of bravado as the acid test of surviving an Ottawa winter lay ahead. Despite the Enviro500 buses passing the test and several orders have followed they were to the new style matching the Enviro400, and subsequently the MMC model, so the trio were sold on to BC Transit where they blended well with the existing fleet. |
