First Eastern Counties Dennis Dart SLF Plaxton 678
This Dart SLF is sandwiched between two new Plaxton bodied Volvo B12M Excel branded coaches at SHOWBUS international 2002, the one on the right being 209 (AO02RDU), which was strictly speaking First BlueBus. The other is 208 which should have registration AO02RCY. However the Dart is more interesting as it was new in 1998 as a dual door bus to New World First Bus as 2013 (HV7180). It was repatriated and became Eastern Counties 678 (S678SNG), later acquiring national fleet number 42778 and transferring to First Western National where its air conditioning might have a better chance of appreciation.

Seen in Ipswich in May 2005 was Volvo B7TL Alexander ALX400 32488 (AU53HKG), one of twenty new doubledeckers for Superoute 66. The route had successfully built up patronage to the point where more capacity was required.
