 Stagecoach East replaced its Cambridge open top Olympians with their ubiquitous Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents cascaded from Stagecoach in London. This was TA78 in the capital, now 17078 and further disguised by being reregistered from T678KPU to TSU639 seen in Cambridge in August 2014. Picture ref A4081 |

 Quite a queue had formed at one of the main city stops near Drummer Street Bus Station that day - then of course two buses turn up at once. Former Stagecoach Selkent TA275, now 17275 reregistered from T377NNO to ACZ7492 is loading while 17078 overtakes to get back on schedule as the buses battle Cambridge's summer traffic.  At SHOWBUS 2012 was Dennis Dart MPD, 33305 (AE51VFX), alongside the ex Sheffield Blue Mountains Atlantean just returned from Australia. The singledecker was used on a short lived service serving the Museum, but on SHOWBUS day it needed a doubledecker, rendering the MPD with little to do that day, but it did make an interesting SHOWBUS exhbit. |
