In the early nineties NWFB took delivery of twenty early step entrance Darts with bodywork by Carlyle, who took over the original design from Duple. This is DC19 (FA2285), on the 95A to Aberdeen being followed by a newer Plaxton Pointer Dart SLF in August 2001.

A second unidentified Carlyle Dart was also photographed on the island in 2001.

 In 2015 two BYD K9R all electric buses joined the fleet. This is 2051 (TV8231), the other is 2052, seen in May 2016. The cloud fringe hilites its green credentials
