 By July 2017 the RTS was becoming a rarer sight, but some, like NovaBus 5233 of 1999 seen in Hell's Kitchen on Independence Day, were still doing full day rosters.

 A final farewell view from July 2017 outside the Algonquin Hotel near Time Square on West 44th. RTS 5219 rides off to the sunset on the M55. The last of over 4000 RTS buses to serve the city were 5171 and 5240 in May 2019.
