Newly repainted in the Nottingham inspired stripey livery, 123 is seen at the terminus of route 15 - Calvert - where it is performing a reverse by one of the few 15 mph speed limit signs in the country. Route 15 was later subsumed into the Bicester route.

Despite the foul weather, 123 is gleaming in its new livery having been put through the Keith Garages car, truck and bus wash. The machine could deal with one bus or truck, or several cars at once!

Though in 1981 SHOWBUS had left the Hillingdon Show venue a legacy remained, and 123 was hired to the Hillingdon Show Society to promote the annual event around the borough - and hence the 81 on the blind. It is seen here in company of what appears to be London Transport MCW Metrobus M387 (GYE387W).
