Red Rover Daimler Fleetline Park Royal 139
Red Rover 140 was the first of a pair of DMS buses for the company. It arrived marginally before 139 (MLK437L) seen here in the garage yard freshly painted and with temporary advertising for the associated garage and car hire businesses. Information on which vehicles were arriving from London was incorrect and number 139 was kept for what was expected to be MLK439L, but MLK437L was the bus acquired. Unlike many operators at the time purchasing DMS buses through dealer, Ensignbus, Red Rover acquired theirs direct from London Transport. The livery follows that on the Leyland National fleet which was inspired by their previous owner, Nottingham.

A second view of 139 at the Abbey, note it has acquired its bespoke Keith Coaches advert. The bus spent its London career operating out of Enfield then Finchley depots.
