Victoria Station forecourt has been transformed. No longer are their excessively long lines of articulated Mercedes built buses, but now British built doubledeckers once again prevail on both the 38 and the 73. DW405 (LJ11AEV) awaits departure for Clapton Pond and our previously photographed DW444 on the 73 for Tottenham.

DW264 (LJ59LXV) seen on the 39 the same day. The route sports a variety of vehicles. Not just the latest Wright Gemini 2s, but earlier examples like DW264, Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B5L hybrids and the new Borismasters.

Seen in July 2011, Hackney bound from Victoria, is DW407 (LJ11AEX).

Back in October 2010 DW257 (LJ59GVG) leaves for the Pond - hope it doesn't get wet!

One thing the Olympics did mean was a relief from London's buses becoming the all pervading red. Besides the influx of provincial buses on Games Transport - not least the huge fleets of Stagecoach and First vehicles - a considerable number of the normally red buses were treated to all over adverts. The front of the buses remained red, so the rear of DW244 (LJ59ACX) gives the fuller picture.
