Arriva London DAF DB250 Alexander ALX400
The week after the 2012 London Olympic Games DLA303 (Y503UGC) was at work in High Wycombe for Arriva the Shires. It was one of several Olympic deckers in the town, the others had been numbered into the Shires series 630x, but DLA303 still had its London number, though this was changed to 6303 before the week was out. All of the buses however served Wycombe anonymously for a while and though DLA303 is seen on Wycombe Blue Route 32, whose special blue liveried buses were long gone for scrap, the batch ousted the long serving red Darts on the red route. The red route thus has blue buses and the red ones, inappropriately labelled for service 33 to Micklefield are popping up everywhere but on the 33! Nothing out of the ordinary there for Arriva in Wycombe. It worked much better for them when the Bucks County Council rainbow routes scheme was effectivley abandoned.

Ariva the Shires DAF DB250 Alexander ALX400 6301
More Alexander ALX400 bodied doubledeckers joined the Shires in large numbers on DAF DB250LF chassis rendered surplus from Arriva London but in 2016 their days were numbered and were expected to be replaced by Wright bodied examples from the same source. DAF 6301 (Y501UGC) is seen on the 1 from Chesham leaving the Wycombe Station precinct. The route is shared with Carousel Buses and supposed to be home to "one" route branded buses, in Arriva's case MCV bodied MAN units. In London the bus was DLA301.
