London's buses

Routemasters: Other London buses:

2006 was a special occasion for EFE and the launch of their new 8 model Routemaster definitive collection. For the first time the Museum allowed the representative buses to be parked on the front of the American Air Museum which made a fine display. Unfortunately RM1 failed to make the display due to mechanical problems, but as we had RMC4 representing the RMC class, it took the place of the prototype Routemaster and RMC1517 stepped in to replace it as the representative RMC. A last minute cancellation lost the representative of the last day in service RML on the 159.

The line up is seen from the top deck of the City Sightseeing Rally Control doubledecker.

At 1pm Frank Joyce of EFE came along to inspect the line up and present each owner with an autographed Routemaster model.

Here Frank Joyce (right) presents Mike Biddell of Imperial Bus with one of his two models. Mike kindly brought along the unique RMF1254 (254CLT) and a former BEA Routemaster (NMY632E) which is in the unusual livery depicted behind them.

Three Routemasters line up outside the American Air Museum. The left hand red Routemaster is the RML representative.
