Charlie Nicholson, a long standing member of the SHOWBUS team, grabbed the camera as the Plaxton Gold Run arrived and included this picture of the First display, alongwith the PPH fleet.

A striking contrast with the First Aberdeen heritage vehicle alongside (Alexander bodied Daimler CVG6 325) is the first doubledecker new to First Hampshire & Dorset for some years, one of five Volvo B7TLs with Wright Eclipse Gemini bodywork: 37165 (HY07FSX).

First Glasgow's fleet is awash with Wright bodied singledeckers of this style, but Scania L94UB 65758 (SN03CLY) graced in corporate livery hides well the fact that it was acquired as part of the recent takeover of well known independent, Hutchisons of Overtown, whose two tone blue livery it wore from new until a short time ago.

A bit of a contrast to the star of last year's show, the ftr, brought down by First York is this Volvo B7L with Wright bodywork in a version of First's coach livery for the city's Park & Ride network.

Typical of the variety across First fleets, Potteries has become home to Scania Omnicity's like CN94UB 65040 (YN06WMO). The bus has sympathetic route branding for trunk service 101 from Hanley to the county town of Stafford.
