A1 Services of Ardrossan had a varied and interesting fleet, but in recent times this was an unusual vehicle being one of the few Van Hool McArdle Irish bodied Volvo Ailsas that did not find its way into the South Yorkshire PTE fleet.

Former South Notts 1980 Daimler Fleetline Northern Counties 114 (HNN114V) alongside three Atlanteans of mixed heritage. First a straightforward Roe bodied example from Hull, then another Roe bodied example new to Plymouth but later part of the Guide Friday fleet and finally an Alexander bodied Atlantean now with G H Watts of Leicester, but new as Edinburgh 44, passing later to Guide Friday.

Arriva Original London Sightseeing Tour VLE618 (LJ07XEV) sports the new East Lancs open top body on a Volvo B9TL chassis. It was one of three from the London open top fleet and all won prizes, VLE618 was the best Arriva bus at teh show.
