 Arriving at Showbus with Dave Harvey at the wheel is former Birmingham City Crossley DD42/6 2489 (JOJ489). The bus has a Metro-Cammell style Birmingham body but built by Crossley too.

Mid afternoon and 2489 is resting between its five runs on the Duxford village tour. Chesterfield's Panther is seen arriving from the village with a full load and in the foreground Dave Harvey talks to Liz Chubb, the Duxford Tour supervisor.

 This final view shows 2489 with some of its contemporaries: Lodge's Bedford OB, a BEA Trident and BOAC VC10. 2489 won the top prize for preserved buses at SHOWBUS 2009, the Shillibeer award with a £100 cash prize from D&G Coach and Bus.
