Brighton Hove & District Bristol KS ECW
A wet and windy day on the sea front on route from Rottindean for this Bristol KS, the short lived version of the Bristol K, prior to the change in width restrictions which added six inches and resulted in mass production of the KSW model. The narrowness of the body is further emphasised by the full height bodywork - Brighton not suffering the usual Tilling fleet curse of lowbridges in its area.

Brighton Hove & District Bristol KSW6G ECW JAP514
Another highbridge K, this time KSW 476 (JAP514) on layover in Old Steine in more appreciative weather.

Brighton, Hove & District open top Bristol Lodekka FS6B ECW RPN9
Brighton, Hove & District Bristol FS6B 9 (RPN9) awaits passengers at Old Steine alongside a Brighton Corporation of an earlier time, when most of the municipal fleet was MCW bodied Titan PD2 buses. A bit like Max Miller above, 9 is an open topper, and sports the open top colour cheme of cream and black, but the roof remains firmly attached.

Brighton Hove & District Lodekka LDS6B ECW OPN803
Lodekka 3 (OPN803) is all set to enjoy the sunshine. part of the first batch of six Lodekkas to fleet, the vehicle can have its top refitted. Buses 1-3 were convertibles in the cream and black, 4-6 were fixed top in red and cream. Curiously the chassis is designated LDS6B, the six buses being prototypes for the FS model hence the S subscript. One more LDS6G entered service earlier with Crosville, DFG949 (285LFM). Eastern National had a similar long prototype LDLX6G, 2510 (236LNO), the forerunner of the FL model.

Brighton Hove & District Lodekka FSF6G VAP31
From the second batch of forward entrance Lodekkas to join the fleet, both batches being to the rare 27ft 6in (rather than 30ft) dimensions, thus this is 31 (VAP31), a Bristol FSF6G (preceeding and following batches were FSF6B - Bristol as opposed to Gardner engined).
