Trathens came to fame as a company specialising in transporting pop stars around the country and Europe. Volvo B12MT LSK613, with Van Hool doubledeck coachwork, is just such a vehicle - seen here in Mutley Plain, Plymouth.

Trathens Star Riders adopted this blue and silver livery as seen on this Volvo B12MT Van Hool and trailer combo, 290WE, at a service station in summer 2005. |

Registration LSK613 is from a big batch of SK plates owned by Trathen's Scottish parent company, Parks. The Van Hool bodied B12MT is seen laid up in the Wellington Street cul-de-sac in Slough in Spring 2005. |

Seen in Stockport Bus Station is Parks of Hamilton's T872RGA, a Plaxton Expressliner 2 bodied Volvo B10M. The coach was new to the associated Trathen's operation down in Plymouth.

Another Van Hool bodied Volvo, this time on National Express work and leaving Plymouth's Bretonside Bus Station for London. Trathens branched out into competing on the Plymouth - London express service with a fleet of high profile Neoplan Skyliners at the time of deregulation. However, they later became a National Express subcontractor.
