Crossley 2489 of course appeared at SHOWBUS 2013 when the event was held in the Midlands. On this occasion it was joined by more former Birmingham buses than usual. A regular performer on Duxford Village Tours, at Long Marston 2489 undertook a special excursion to a nearby antiques centre.

A newcomer on the scene in 2011 was freshly restored MCW bodied Guy Arab IV, 2548 (JOJ548), seen here having arrived at Duxford on the Saturday ready for the event the following day.

We were pleased to welcome 2548 back to Showbus in 2015. It is seen arriving at Woburn Abbey and looking as resplendent as in 2011.

ex Birmingham Southend Daimler CWA6 Duple 244
Southend Daimler CWA6/Duple 244 (FOP429) was new in 1945 to Birmingham Corporation. It has had a chequered history being acquired by Canvey & District in 1949, passing to Westcliff-on-Sea and in turn to Eastern National as the various undertakings were taken over. It was bought by Southend in 1955 and converted to open-top in 1956, it continued in service until 1970 and is now preserved at the Castle Point Transport Museum. It is seen here at North Weald in 2007.
