South Midland Bristol RELH6G ECW C421
Delivered in 1967 was a trio of ECW bodied dual purpose Bristol RELH with coach shells. The first, C421 (LJB421E), is seen loading in Windsor Street, Slough, on the morning run through to Worcester.

South Midland Bristol LH6L Duple Commander C430
South Midland's touring coaches wintered in Newbury depot under canvas. Bristol C430 (RJB430F) had just emerged from hibernation and had been treated to a deep wax polish. The coach was an unusual combination of Bristol LH6L chassis with Duple Commander coachwork, from Duple's Blackpool factory.

Looking not so resplendent, C430 is seen some years later. Judging by its livery, it appears to have finished a period of service with the contractors, Wimpey.

South Midland Bristol LH Duple Commander C434
Former C434 (UMO690G), another Duple Commander bodied Bristol LH6L, delivered the following year, found better further service with Go Harris in Fishguard.

Oxford South Midland Bristol LH6L Duple Commander 37
Another coach to end up with Harris - along with C433, as well as C434 - was C437 (YBL926H). In January 1974 it was the coach selected to promote South Midland's touring holidays and was touring the area with posters adorning its windows with the driver parking up and handing out brochures. By then under the control of City of Oxford the company was persuaded to bring the coach to Brunel University to participate in the first bus rally, which was to evolve into SHOWBUS the following year.
