EFE SHOWBUS International Rally 2006 will feature many attractions.

RoutemastersRoutemaster Gold Run.
Participating vehicles will gather at Trumpington Park & Ride and travel via Shelford, Stapleford and Sawston to arrive at the Imperial War Museum at around 11.45am. The cavalcade will parade through the site to assemble in the centre of the site.

EFE Routemaster Collection.
The buses comprising EFE's new Routemaster Collection series of models launched at EFE SHOWBUS International will be grouped together at the west end of the Routemaster line up and will receive presentations from Frank Joyce, of EFE, at 1pm.


FTR Fly-by.
After the Routemasters have parked up, one of First's fleet of ftr buses of the future will perform for the crowds.

Trip to Germany.
TWO of our entrants will be the lucky winner of a trip to Germany, to the Historiches Omnibus Europatreffen at Sinsheim in April 2007.

Duxford site opens for entrants at 8.00 am.on Sunday September 24th.

Site layout.
The entry arrangements for 2006 will be similar to 2005. Buses heading for the eastern arena will travel the length of the taxiway to get there and buses parking near the American Air Museum will use an entry gate further in to the site to avoid some of the congestion after the pay booths. Parking Reception will be before the Pay booth queue. See the site map.

EFE Models.
EFE will be releasing two special models associated with the rally. One will be the first release of the new Bristol RELH casting, which will only be available to buy at SHOWBUS. The other model will be released before the event and feature adverts for EFE SHOWBUS International 2006.

First.
Once again there will be a special First display, including ftr and they will be providing the prize money for the winners in most classes of entry.

Deregulation.
To commemorate 20 years of deregulation, a display of some of the now preserved examples of the early "breadvan" minibuses will be held.

London General.
A General display celebrates 150 years of the London General name. Already booked in is Barry Weatherhead's 1921 AEC S.

Aldershot & District, Crosville, the Leyland Atlantean, Optare, FRM1, Eastern Counties.
All the above are celebrating anniversaries and if we can put appropriate displays togther from our entries we shall.

ON SITE BUS
With the rally spreading from one end of the mammoth Duxford site to the other, there will be a free low floor shuttle bus running the length of the site between 11.00am and 4.15pm.

Free bus service from Cambridge
Stagecoach doubledeckers will provide this service from Cambridge Station to Duxford, click here for the times.

THE BUS STATION.
This will be the area immediately in front opposite the American Air Museum, which will be the Bus Station for vehicles coming and going on the Duxford Village Tours throughout the afternoon. The 2006 timetable will appear when it is finalised.

How much?.
£13 for adults, £11 for senior citizens, £8 for other concessions and FREE for under 16s. Group rates are available from the Museum. Further information is on their website. Special rates apply for entrants. In 2006 every bus entered will be entitled to three free entry permits, plus the driver.
