 Seen in Peterborough Bus Station in August 2021 is Enviro400City bodied 36905 (YN69XZJ), a Scania N250UD in the striking livery for the Excel services.

 When Eastern Counties was split in two, with the Peterborough and Cambridge operations hived off as Cambus the Excel route is the only First Eastern Counties route to link into Peterborough. This view of 36903 (YN69XZG) shows it surrounded by Stagecoach East Alexander Dennis Enviro400 buses.

 The only other operator working into Peterborough, more regularly than First Eastern Counties, is everyone's favourite, Delaine. Their immaculate Wright bodied Volvo B9TL 157 (AD64DBL) heads for Bourne on the 101 behind Enviro400City 36907 (YN69XZL) displaying "C Swaffham then direct to Norwich". There are four variants of the Excel service: the all stops A, the B fast between Wisbech & Kings Lynn, the C is fast into Norwich from Kings Lynn and Swaffham and the D is non stop between Dereham and Norwich. Obviously First know something about running bus services that Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, does not, when in 2021 he declined to reintroduce Green Line services as passengers allegedly preferred more frequent all stop services. Not sure how the X140 from Heathrow got the go ahead on that basis.
