Quite a stir was created when the relatively rare - in the UK - Citaro was put in service by First on former Beeline services between Maidenhead, Slough and Heathrow. The services proved hugely successful so only five years later, new buses and new branding appeared for what became the "7 series". First Berkshire ES64035 (LK07CNN) is seen at SHOWBUS 2007 in front of a plane its normal passengers would no longer expect to be flying on, they would probably prefer the bus!

Seen from the front passenger seat of the Carousel A40 service to High Wycombe, Arriva the Shires Green Line Citaro 3902 swiftly departs, overtaking new the Showbus Citaro, ES64035, fitted with warp drive (not), but perhaps the Green Line Citaro would keep better time if it was!

Citaro ES64035 was seen earlier in the year at North Weald.

The following year Citaro EC64045 (LK08FME) appeared at a very wet North Weald.

Mercedes ES64030 (LK07CCA) in autumn 2007 on the unusual 76 working to Cippenham. Normal workings were to Slough and Maidenhead. The former Dart operated Windsor services had been incorporated into service 77 on the new 7-series Heathrow routes. Interestingly the 77 covers the old GS operated Windsor-Datchet service 445.
