The backdrop to ES64030 (LK07CCA) at Heathrow in June 2010 looks so different now. A huge dual carriageway sweeps up behind at this point and the buildings have gone to become the entrance to the new Heathrow East terminal.

The sign proclaiming the advent of a futuristic new Bus Station for Slough in October 2010 was far from the truth. When ES64043 was seen driving by work was already under way. Five years on and the work is supposedly finished with massive construction on the adjacent site of the old Brunel Bus Station, bus stops still a hidden walk away from the Bus Station for through services from Windsor, Maidenhead and west Slough. The Green Line service Bracknell bound has a stop in the Bus Station but London bound its a walk away, and two kerbside stops are in the opposite direction for some of the town services. Providing information on these disjointed elements of the development is poor, which was probably sold on the fact that moving it nearer to the railway station - and further from the shopping centre - was in the interests of integrated transport.

Seemingly a bit lost in High Wycombe was Citaro 64044 (LK08FMD). The bus is seen in Castle Street and should have turned right at the junction beforehand to serve the stop in the High Street back in July 2014. It is followed by one of Arriva the Shires many Wright bodied DAF/VDL buses used in the town.
