 Ted Brakell's open top London RTL, 1050 (LLU829), was used to help promote the Hillingdon Show (and SHOWBUS) for several years. Here former Thames Valley K 711 (CAP211) joined the promotion in the centre of Uxbridge. |
The buses took to the road and paraded around the borough. With owner Neville Dawson Smith at the wheel, 711 is seen here from the open top of RTL1050.

 As the destination blind shows, 711 used to be used on a riverside trip along the banks of the Thames The trip was revived in Alder Valley days using an open top Bristol VRTLL6G orignially new to Eastern Scottish. Bristol K 711 was new to Brighton, Hove & District who decapitated it in its later years. |
