In 2009 616 visited the Bucks Railway Centre's annual bus rally over the late May Bank Holiday weekend. To the right is the only singledeck London Routemaster RM1368 (368CLT). |

Unsurprisingly 616 took part in the August 2015 Centenary celebartions of the company in Reading, giving free rides over old routes in the afternoon. It is seen with two other preserved L-types, former LL6B 556 (FMO938), seen earlier at the first Woburn Abbey SHOWBUS and S302.

Bristol L6A S302 (GFM882) was one of five transferred to Thames Valley in 1963 from Crosville Motor Services where it had been converted in 1958 to forward entrance for one man operation. It was perhaps unfortunate that these 1948 buses were the first to kick off Thames Valley's new fleet numbering system for singledeckers (S301-S305). They did not survive long with Thames Valey, leaving early gaps in the numbers. The bus joined the Rossmore Bus Company of Sandbanks in 1966 and later passed into preservation in Crosville livery as SLA73, but it was new as KB73.

The L6A was at work again during Reading's June 2018 running day. It is approaching the Station terminus followed by Wilts & Dorset Bristol KSW6G 365 (HWV294).
