Doubledeckers had not been a regular feature of Green Line services once the fleet of coach bodied ECW Olympians was relegated to bus work nearly twenty years ago. First Berkshire heralded a new era of Green Line deckers with a small batch of Volvo B9TLs with Wright Eclipse Gemini complete with wifi, leather seats and tables for the London - Windsor, Legoland and Bracknell services. |
The Eclipse singledecker had nicked the Green Line decker's pole position in the First line up at SHOWBUS 2008, so the decker coach is seen being moved behind the First York entries to a prominent position for the many photographers keen to get their first picture of the new machines. This one has shortened fleet number GL4 (LK58EDF), its full number in the First Berkshire system is VNX37274. |
Seen at Hyde Park Corner in early September 2012 is First London's RM1640 (640DYE) with First Berkshire Green Line Volvo B9TL 37273 (LK58EDJ). |
