To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the formation of London Transport in 1983 LT held an Open Day at the now closed famous Chiswick Bus Works. Red Arrow LS438 (GUW438W) headed a line up of London singledeckers. The bus had been displayed at SHOWBUS at Hillingdon the previous year, The bus was rebuilt in 1994 by East Lancs for further use on Red Arrow duties as a National Greenway passing with the Red Arrow services to London General. Withdrawn in 2002, it was bought by MASS Transit of Lincoln passing to Doncaster Council Department of Education in 2005 for use as in a "Stay-on-at-School" promotion, later becoming Sparky's Big Purple Bus as part of a creche facility. |

The same bus was also seen in 2001 at the Southsea Spectacular.

Greenway Red Arrow LS505 (GUW505W) on route 505 at the Aldwych. The bus ended its day with Galleon Travel on Bishops Stortford route BS1 until sold for scrap in 2007.

At work on Red Arrow service 507 in the early eighties was Leyand National 2 LS470 (GUW470W). In its later years the bus was converted to single door for use on the 607 from Uxbrudge to Shepherds Bush later passing as a driver trainer to First Beeline. It was scrapped in 2005.
