In the eighties Eastbourne enjoyed something of a special relationship with London Buses and there was even a joint doubledeck coach service between Eastbourne and London. Part of the relationship resulted in Eastbourne acquiring some LT Leyland Nationals, including LS68 (OJD868R) seen outside the station as their number 17. The bus was another to join the Chase fleet in 1991 after four years service in Sussex. It passed into preservation in 2007. |
