In contrast to all the preserved RTs seen at rallies, here is one in service, pounding along the Bath Road in the sixties on the 484 service, which linked Langley with Slough and assorted destinations over the years.

RML2451 (JJD451D) when newly introduced on to Slough Town Service 484 in the sixties, did not have a successful initiation, breaking down on the London Road, near Langley. A recently ousted RT was despatched from Windsor depot to rescue the passengers.

What could be taken for an RT in service at Langley, is in fact a bus on the Hillingdon Showbus Road Run in 1978!
