DLF105 (KU52YLA) at work on the 705 at Liverpool Street in Autumn 2002. The Metroline doubledeck high frequency 205 route linking the north London stations effectively replaced the 705.

Hamilton City Buses Optare Excel
A visit to Hamilton at Easter 2005 found the Thorpe Stationlink Excels hard at work on city services. The special internal display equipment for displaying Stationlink route information was still installed and was still able to be activated according to one driver.

Excel AWW976 leaves Hamilton Bus Station for Pukete at 8.20am. At 10 to and 20 past each hour around 15 buses depart simultaneously for all parts of the town. The Excel was towards the end of the procession.

Ecel BNH279 was another of the batch seen in the depot yard in Hamilton with the eclectic fleet of Hodgsons, operator of the Hamilton City Bus fleet. The yard not only had Optare Excels and MetroRiders, but Dennis Darts, Leyland Tigers, Bristol REs, Isuzus, Bedfords, Hinos, MANs, Mercedes, Nissans, Volvos and more!
