Two contrating buses arrive at SHOWBUS. David Whitaker's Provincial AEC Regal 4 leads a Volvo
B7TL with Wright Eclipse Gemini bodywork in a special livery for the Premier Line 997 route
into the rally field.

Another stark comparison on the exclusive entry route. Birmingham City Guy Arab IV 3102
(MOF102) arrives with one of PPH's Scania Irizar Century coaches.

889AAX was part of an order of buses, built for Trinidad in 1958. It was one of three vehicles
that failed to be exported, and was left at Southampton Docks for a long time. It
returned to Leyland for modifications as the wooden seats were fitted to the perimeter, giving
room for standees and animals! In 1960, it was, with the
other two buses, sold to Jones of Aberbeeg, in South Wales.
The bus spent its entire working life with Jones and was eventually sold to staff for preservation.

A pleasant substitute entry arriving was this coach, new to SHOWBUS, a former Greenslades
AEC Reliance with Harrington coachwork, typical of the Devon based fleet.

An impressive line up of half cab doubledeckers up to 50 years old. In order we have a
York Pullman AEC Regent, a Northampton Daimler CVG6, Stockport & Wigan Leyland Titans,
the Birmingham Guy Arab and an Eastbourne AEC Regent V.
