As blue as the sky, this Northern Counties Daimler Fleetline of Walsall Corporation, 116 (XDH516G), is a Showbus regular. It is good to see a bus preserved in Walsall's distinctive livery and its quirky style body. Walsall was well known for its special bus designs.

A Showbus prize winner was this unusual forward entrance Leyland Tiger of Birmingham City Transport with Metro-Cammell body. This rare Birmingham singledecker, 2245 (JOJ245), was entered by the Acocks Green Bus Preservation Society. The Birmingham area fleets were dominated by doubledeckers, singledeckers usually working on routes where obstacles prevented the use of doubles.
